" Lord, Send The Fire ! "
In April of 2008, at the Old South Church in Portsmouth, NH, I laid my hands on the grave of the Rev. George Whitefield. Bowing my head I prayed, "Lord anoint me with the same spirit, power and anointing that was poured out during the first Great Awakening!"

One year later, I stood on the only remaining original step of the First Church in Northampton. With tears flowing down my face, I lifted my hands towards heaven and again I prayed, "Lord Jesus, anoint me with the same spirit, power and anointing of the Great Awakening so that the churches of today can once again have a soul-saving outpouring of God's fire which will shake the churches, return us to our biblical foundations, revolutionize and awaken this country!"
